Also known as the "Dungeness Crab
Capital of the World," this charming little community boasts picturesque ocean,
river and bay views, a variety of shops, dining and some of the friendliest
folks you will ever meet.
Recreational activities include
beachcombing, fishing, crabbing, boating, biking or hiking on beachside or
forest trails. Stop by the Alsea Bay Interpretive Center for a full
history of the area and the famous bridges along the Oregon Coast.
Life is different here. No
traffic jams, rush hour, or crowds to deal with as you go about your daily
life. There are shops to fill your daily needs or travel 15 minutes north
to Newport for an even greater selection. |
